Notice to all divers. The state with the help of UF is conducting a survey on the health of our fishery. This originally went out to only fishing license holders both commercial and private. The diving community was not being represented. Please take the time to read this letter and also answer the survey. The other stake holders in this have had this for more than a week already so time is of the essence. In other words please do this ASAP. Also Please share this anyway you can. If you have any questions please give us a call. Peter Friedman Stuart Dive Shop 772-600-8288 Dear Diving Community Member I am writing to ask for your help with a survey that we are conducting with the Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences Program at the University of Florida. We are looking to hear from members of the diving community about their views and experiences regarding the goliath grouper and its management. You are receiving this email because you are listed as the contact for a dive shop or club. We would appreciate if you could forward this email to your customers, members, and other contacts or post the survey link on your website. Of course, we would also like you to complete the survey yourself! Survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LQSWRVP (This link can be forwarded or posted on a website) Your own and your customers' or members' responses to this survey are very important and will be presented to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic Fisheries Management Councils to help inform in their decisions on the future management of the goliath grouper. For more information on this survey and the goliath grouper please visit http://www.aquaticresources.org/goliath.html We appreciate your time and consideration. It's only through the generous help of people like you that our research into stakeholder perspectives on goliath grouper can be successful and help inform management decision making. Many thanks, Kai Lorenzen Professor of Fisheries Science University of Florida Email: email@example.com Phone: 352-273-3646 Web: http://sfrc.ufl.edu/people/faculty/lorenzen/
